ALLPEST - Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are all your services guaranteed?
A: Yes, ALLPEST will return to treat until the customer is satisfied. If we can’t solve the problem, we will refund the money paid.
Q: Do I have to sign a one-year service agreement?
A: Not for all services. ALLPEST can customize a service to suit almost any situation.
Q: What is your response time? A: Generally 24 hours or less.
Q: I am interested in the Quarterly Service. What pests are covered?
A: Ants, mice, rats, roaches, silverfish, spiders, stinging insects and pantry pests are the most common. Exclusions are wildlife pests, termites, wood destroying beetles and bedbugs.
Q: How does the mosquito schedule work?
A: That depends on the frequency you select. The standard freshwater mosquito schedule is a loose monthly schedule dictated by weather patterns, infestation levels and customer needs. Salt marsh mosquito schedules are generally bi-monthly. Applications start in May and end after the first hard frost, usually October.
Q: How does the tick schedule work?
A: The tick schedule starts in April and usually goes through November. The final application targets the ticks on the surface before they burrow into the leaf litter over winter. For ticks to start the move, it usually takes about 10 days of sub 40-degree weather. We have treated in December.
Q: Can I have just one treatment for mosquitoes or ticks?
A: Yes.
Q: Are mosquito and tick treatments included in the Quarterly Service Program?
A: No, they are a separate program.
Q: What is the Exterior Spider Program Schedule?
A: The schedule consists of two treatments. The first is May and the second is June.
Q: What is quarterly service?
A: Service is three months apart, four times per year.
Q: What does your service agreement consist of?
A: The agreement is for one year and means you agree to pay for the amount of service that you sign for, whether quarterly, monthly, mosquito or other. It also means ALLPEST agrees to deliver that service. The agreement automatically renews itself and must be cancelled in writing.
Q: What are your payment terms?
A: Payment is expected at the time of service, unless arrangements are made in advance.
Q: Why do you do service during the winter?
A: There are many pests that can be a nuisance during the winter. Rodents are quite common and insects are commonly harboring in warm places like your home. Cluster flies, paper making wasps, Asian beetles, pantry pests and, yes, even ants can be a problem.
Q: How are services scheduled?
A: For routine service such as quarterly and monthly, we will either call or e-mail you. We do appreciate prompt return calls. Chasing people to schedule a service they agreed to is expensive and time consuming. If extra service is required, all you need to do is contact us and generally you will be scheduled within 24 hours.
Q: What happens if we don’t contact you?
A: You will be placed on the will call list and your service will be cancelled. You may be billed for any services that you agreed to have. Any further service calls will be charged Ala Carte.
Q: What is the difference between tick and mosquito service?
A: The service cycle and the materials are somewhat different. Tick treatments start one month earlier (April) and end later, either November or December, weather depending. Difference in formulation is early and late treatments are granular rather than liquid.
Q: I am only worried about mosquitoes. What is the service cycle?
A: Service starts in May and ends in October, starting with 2 services, 10 to 14 days apart. Monthly service is the standard for fresh water mosquitoes, bi-monthly for saltwater mosquitoes.
Q: Can mosquito and tick be combined?
A: Yes, and it is very effective.
Q: Do I have to be home?
A: That depends on the service being performed. Mosquito and tick service can be performed. Monthly service can also be exterior only. Quarterly needs to be inside and outside unless circumstances or the agreement dictates otherwise.
Q: I am having a mosquito/tick treatment. What precautions are necessary?
A: Close the downstairs windows, move any toys near the perimeter of the yard or that are close to any treatment zones such as mulch beds, shrubs, damp spots or shady areas. Safe re-entry into the treatment zones is within two hours or when the materials dry.
Q: Will the exterior treatments harm my landscaping?
A: No, all of our materials are non-phytotoxic, though common sense needs to be exercised on extremely hot days with misting applications.
Q: I am having a party and I am worried about mosquitoes. Do I have to sign a one-year service agreement?
A: No, party treatments are available. Two are recommended, 10 to 14 days apart, in writing.
